Lino cutting is the process of creating a printmaking block out of linoleum and carving materials.
We will discuss the concepts and history of printmaking, the proper use of tools, how to create negative images, and students will have the opportunity to carve their own linoleum blocks, rolling and applying ink and making prints on paper to take home.
Class fee: $20 (10% discount for siblings)
Xtine Nockels (she/her) is the Youth Programs Assistant at Catamount Arts. Christine graduated with a degree in illustration and toy design from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, and has worked in animation and puppetry, and as a freelance illustrator and fiber artist. She also works at the Reggio Emilia-inspired Treehouse Children’s School in Norwich while training in early childhood education. She lives amongst many animals and plants and loves being close to nature in Vermont.
