Nature-based art activities lend themselves to integrating early math and science concepts. Participants will discover how to use natural materials to create art invitations that not only inspire creativity but also foster foundational math and science skills. This workshop will guide educators in designing developmentally appropriate art experiences that encourage children to explore patterns, shapes, symmetry, measurement, and observation of natural phenomena. Participants will also learn how to create art invitations that promote inquiry-based learning, support cognitive development, and deepen children's connection to the natural world.

Learning Objectives:

1. Participants will learn to design and implement developmentally appropriate art invitations using natural materials that encourage children to explore and understand early math concepts such as patterns, shapes, symmetry, and measurement, while fostering creativity.

2. Participants will gain strategies for creating art experiences that promote inquiry-based learning, supporting children's cognitive development and deepening their connection to the natural world through the observation and exploration of natural phenomena.
